Below are the dates for the 2018-2019 Learn to Curl sessions.  However, the Club is in the process of developing a new online registration system and the registration form cannot be accessed at this time.  Registrations will be accepted once the new system is up and running.  Please check back in the next few weeks for updates.

Curling is a social sport focusing on fun, fitness, strategy, and teamwork.  Played on a special indoor sheet of ice, the sport has both a physical and analytical aspect.  With the rigorous sweeping required for many shots, participants get a good cardiovascular workout, and the strategy of the game is why it is often referred to as ”chess on ice”.  The goal is to deliver your stone closest to the target, and then maintain that advantage while your competitor tries to get closer or knock your stone out.

The Rochester (New York) Curling Club offers Learn to Curl classes for adults ages 18 and up.  This five-week program includes individual instruction and practice time, as well as the opportunity to play actual games.  This program is a prerequiste for all new introductory Rochester Curling Club members.
